Want to see my cell phone, where’s your warrant?

With the gradual erosion of the Fourth Amendment to the United States Constitution, it is nice to see the Justices finding in favor of the peoples’ rights to privacy.  All too often we take for granted what our founding fathers took very seriously, our right to privacy in our persons, houses, papers, and effects.  As technology increases our ability to communicate with each other, we also need to continue our rights to remain free from unreasonable searches and seizures.

June 26, in Riley v. California, the United States Supreme Court held, unanimously, that law enforcement may NOT search a cell phone without a warrant or exigent circumstances.
